Plus sizes are still made in more limited amounts, and the earlier you can purchase, the more choice you will have.
Several national stores that I am aware of have a fairly wide and updated selection of costumes. A store to definitely visit, even if you are not buying is Spirit Costume stores. Spirit Costume stores are usually open just during the Halloween season, but they have a year round on-line shop as well at www.spiritcostume.com.
