It’s that time of year again when ghosts and goblins roam the streets. Halloween brings out the child in all of us so get into the spirit and collaborate with your child to wear a tag team costume set. Here are some ideas for Halloween costumes that are easy to execute:
Dumbledore and Harry Potter
Any child who knows and loves Harry Potter (which is the majority of children out there) will enjoy if his father dresses up as the all-knowing Dumbledore. You will need to don a robe, a beard, and a wig. As Harry Potter, your child can wear a robe, cape, glasses, the wizard hat, and a fake scar on his forehead.
Both of you should have wands for your Halloween costumes. If you have a daughter who would prefer not to dress up as a boy then she can be Hermione. She could make her hair frizzy and wear preppy clothing like a private school uniform. Don’t forget the robe.
The Skipper and Gilligan
Enter the world of Gilligan’s Island by dressing up as the Skipper and Gilligan for your Halloween costumes. You can easily wear a blue shirt with a white collar, khaki pants, and a captain’s hat. Your child will play the part of Gilligan by wearing a red shirt with a white collar and a sailor hat.
Dr. Evil and Mini Me
The cliched phrase, “The apple does not fall far from the tree” can apply to Halloween costumes as well. In Austin Powers, Dr. Evil and his Mini Me are an unbeatable tag team. If you want to keep your Halloween costumes as simple as possible then you and your child can just wear identical clothing. If you’re interested in mimicking the characters more closely then go to your local costume store or search online to find a more authentic ensemble.
Halloween’s just around the corner. And while your kids are all set to have a blast, they will appreciate your effort and participation in making it a memorable day for them. Find tips to curve halloween pumpkin.
If you are the parent of a toddler but want to include him or her in making the decorations this Halloween season and are looking for suitable Halloween crafts that you can make with your toddler, there are a number of crafts that are easy and fun and can help you bond with your little one. In addition, these crafts will also teach the toddler valuable skills that they will need when they finally go to school.
The handprint spiders are perhaps one of the most popular toddler Halloween crafts this season. All you need is black paint that is water soluble and a paper plate. Pour the paint onto another plate or in a pan. Place your toddlers hands flat into the pan of paint. All kids love this part. Ensure that the paint has covered the entire hand but do not let it get too gloppy. Then, place the child’s hand firmly onto the paper plate a little above the plate’s center. Make sure that all the fingers are splayed outwards. Now turn the plate upside down so that the print is at the bottom. Reapply paint on the toddlers hands and press down onto the plate in the same manner as before. Take care that the heels of the palms of both the prints match up with each other. After the paint dries up, paste some googly eyes. Pull a string through a hole punched at the top and hang it wherever you like.
The pumpkin seed wreath is another great Halloween craft that you can make with your toddler. Once you have your pumpkin carved, wash all the seeds and save them up. You can roast these seeds in your oven, sprinkle them with salt and eat them as a yummy treat. Apart from these, once the pumpkin seeds are dry, cut out a round in some orange construction paper and let your little one glue all the pumpkin seeds around the outer rim of the circle with all the pointed ends facing out. Once the outer row is finished, make another row inside it. Use any Halloween decoration to fill in the middle. You can glue candy corn, a witch from fun foam or just about anything that you can creatively come up with.
Search the internet inside out to find other toddler Halloween crafts that will be safe and fun to make with your toddler. Include your toddler in the decorations and let him or her know that there is always an excuse for making a fun craft.

Halloween is the best time to introduce children under the age of 5 to the world of art and craft making. Preschool Halloween crafts can be made by young children with adult supervision. Preschoolers can be taught valuable lessons about life in general, by involving them in art and craft activities. These experiences will remain with them for a long time and mould their creative talents and artistic skills.
Children below the age of 5 are a precocious lot and they are at a learning stage in their lives. They are just getting to know their surroundings and are eager to learn new things. It is a novelty to them to be able to create craft items themselves. However, the adults need to be very patient and encourage them to create something on their own, be it a drawing, painting or even Halloween crafts. A little guidance on the part of the parents or schoolteachers will go a long way in helping to hone their artistic skills. A search on the Internet for preschool craft ideas will give a number of simple Halloween crafts that can be created by very young children. A few fun Halloween crafts meant for preschoolers are described below to get you started.
After the pumpkin is carved, do not throw away the seeds. They make a great snack if they are roasted with a little salt. You can save some of the seeds so that they can be used for craft decorations. Clean the seeds thoroughly, and let them dry. Take a piece of cardboard or construction paper and cut out a circle. Glue the seeds with the pointed ends facing outwards on to the edge of the circle. Glue a second row on the inner side. Sprinkle some glitter in the center. Punch a hole on the top edge and hang it in the room or upon the wall. Another option would be to paint the seeds and attach a stem to make it into a flower to be put up on the wall.
Edible Halloween crafts are a great hit with preschoolers. Kids usually enjoy eating the craft items they have created themselves. Dirt and worms is one such preschool Halloween craft that a child will enjoy making and eating! You will need a clear plastic cup, chocolate ice cream, some chocolate cookies, a plastic zip-loc bag and some gummy worms. Place the chocolate cookies in the zip loc bag and ask your child to smash them up into little bits. Next, put a small dollop of chocolate ice cream in the plastic cup. Pour the cookie crush over the ice cream and add some gummy worms. Give the kid a spoon to eat their creation and enjoy!
Preschool Halloween crafts are fun for adults and children alike. They help parents to get to know their kids’ creative talents and have great fun bonding together. For more ideas on preschool Halloween crafts, you can surf the net; moreover let your creative imagination take over to create something truly enjoyable for your child.
