Georgie Brown provides Halloween costumes for kids parties
Children love to dress up in pirate costumes. If you are planning to have a fancy dress party for kids then this would make a very popular theme for it. You might think that it will limit things a little by just organizing it around pirates but it will actually prove to make it all a lot easier. Instead of having to cater for so many different things, absolutely everything to do with your party can hinge on the swashbuckling theme.
If you have more than one child of your own then you have already solved several problems. You are not going to have to think of ideas for what your children are going to wear. If you are just sticking to pirate costumes then it will make it a lot simpler. As long as each of your children is happy with their outfit then you are onto a winner.
Depending on the amount of work that you are prepared to do (and if you have someone who is going to help), there are all sorts of activities that will fit around the theme of pirates costumes. As far as the children are concerned, if they are dressed up in pirate costumes then they want to behave like buccaneers.
Organizing a treasure hunt for all of the children to take part in would be a great idea. Kids love things like this and it will keep them all occupied for quite a while. You could perhaps design some treasure maps on your computer and print them off beforehand. They don’t have to be anything too elaborate as long as they are going to fit in with the rest of the party. You could even tie them all up with sashes and give them to the kids to wear on the belts of their pirate costumes until it is time to look for the treasure.
Plastic swords are very reasonably priced and would look great when worn with their pirate costumes. It might be a good idea to have some ‘organized’ sword-fight though. If a few children are left alone with plastic weapons without a little supervision then it is only a matter of time before one of them is wounded… Perhaps, to avoid any squabbles, you can have some proper contests for them where they are able to show off their swordsmanship to the fore.
If you have your children’s’ party in the summer then another idea would be to have some themed games in the back garden. With a bit of imagination, you can soon adapt some ordinary children’s activities into something that is more in keeping with pirate costumes. Perhaps you have a sandpit where you can bury some ‘treasure’. The kids will love to dig away hoping to be first to find it, especially if they don’t even know what it is that they are looking for.
With a little thought and planning (and minimal outlay) you can easily create a whole afternoon of fun that everyone will thoroughly enjoy.
The “trick or treat” day is one fun filled day wherein we can get total strangers to give us candy or money. The sheer amount of fun and frolic on that day is one unforgettable experience.
One of the costumes which is well suited to emphasize the “trick” aspect would be the Samurai costume. After all, what better costume than that of a warrior to get the message home and that too a traditionally feared warrior?
The ability to stick out of the crowd is what can make a difference in getting the best treat, and one excellent option can be the samurai dress, which not only is different compared to the regular devils, or elves or spooky creatures, but also can emphasize that it is better to go for the treat option.
Considering that Halloween falls during the winter season, it is best to choose dress material that is a bit thick to protect from the cold.
There are a variety of Samurai costumes to choose from depending on what you would like to portray.
The basic dress is the satin Kimono which traditionally is made of two layers. The kimono can have Japanese figures painted on it or even a dragon spewing fire.
For children maybe a suitable jacket with matching elastic pants and drawings would be more suitable.
On this the Happi coat or the vest with shimmering colors of green or orange will go on to add an effect of glamour and power. The effects can be heightened by the use of different colors along the edges.
The next would be the sash, in a dual color for example Purple and red. Of course the choice can be best left to individual tastes.
Depending on the preference the head piece or cap can be combined with a face scarf to highlight the masked effect. Where the person prefers to have the face exposed, a fancy long and drooping moustache can give a weird effect to the Warrior image. One can also choose to wear a mask in order to make the intire costume a bit more realistic. Beard can be painted directly on the skin if you do not have a mask.
The Wig with pony tail is a necessary accessory. The pony tail can either be bunched up or knotted with a rope and stick on the top or can be left to hang loosely behind. Either way the effects can be enhanced by coloring the wig,
The warrior sword with sheath hanging on the back side. The ultimate fear factor! Of course the sword will be made of card! Such samurai swords can often times be bought in regular toy stores and halloween shops. Otherwise do a quick search online and you will have no troubles finding one. Most often, however, samurai costumes are bought as a set with the sword included.
Rounding off the costume would be the socks and the sandals! I guess it will only be treating; no one would dare to go for a trick!
Halloween is around the corner and you need a costume you can have a good time in, and maybe win a best costume prize. At least that was the situation I was in. So I shopped around town, found some decent costume and party stores and could not believe how poor the selection was.
What happened to the classics? Where was spiderman, batman and superman costumes? Any of the classics that I could find looked like pajamas the super heros might wear. And any outfits that did look decent were far overpriced and would be far too uncomfortable to wear for an entire evening.
What was I going to do now, I thought to myself. And then it came to me, where do I find the solution to 90 percent of my problems? The Internet.
The search begins and like shopping around the stores in town I was finding the same crap at slightly reduced price but with the shipping cost it would end up being just as expensive. Back to square one.
After searching for a few days I changed up my search to be more specific to a costume I had in mind and I found it. A place that made exactly what I was looking for and for an excellent price. The only thing that I was hesitant about was the shipping cost but the site gave me different options of shipping and even had a bundle up and save on the shipping cost option.
I took the plunge and ordered a costume for myself and my wife. The costumes arrived about a week later and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and workmanship that went into the products. Any time I need a costume or some one asks me where I got mine I tell them with confidence where to go and how happy I am with the product. The costume looks awesome and there were tons of people who wanted to pose for pictures with me.

Halloween (also spelled Hallowe’en) is a holiday celebrated on October 31.
It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holy day of All Saints’ Day. It is largely a secular celebration, but some have expressed strong feelings about perceived religious overtones.[1][2][3] Irish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America during Ireland’s Great Famine of 1846.[4]
The day is often associated with orange and black, and is strongly associated with symbols like the jack-o’-lantern. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, wearing costumes, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting haunted attractions, carving jack-o’-lanterns, pranking people, reading scary stories, and watching horror movies.
Halloween costumes are worn on 31th October of every year in the Halloween holiday originating from the Celtic pagan holiday of Samhain (in Christian time, the eve of all saints day). The wearing of costumes and masks style goes back to the Celtic tradition which tried to copy the spirits. The popular of Halloween costumes started in USA around 1900s. The 1st mass produced Halloween costumes appeared in the store in 1930s.
Halloween costumes are different from costumes in other festival because they will be designed to imitate supernatural and scary beings. Traditional costumes will make as vampires, ghosts, skeletons, witches and devils but in more recent years, there were as science fiction-inspired characters as aliens, superheroes and pop culture figures like presidents, athletes, celebrities or film, television, cartoon character. Moreover, the very modern design like sexy and revealing costumes is popular to build the Halloween atmostphere joyful, delight and more happiness in this occassion.
We have one little boy that’s six years old and an adorable set of twins, 10 months. We decided we wanted to dress the babies up for halloween, even though they are a bit young. We always take our son out on that holiday and then we visit our family so they can see him all dressed up. This year we have two more to deck out in halloween garb. The costume we bought our son last year seem to fall apart before we even covered the first street. First the sash on his ninja outfit tore off and then the pants ripped down the side. It cost us much more than it was worth. For the price we paid it should have at least lasted through one night. I figured this year we would skip the local costume stores and try finding something online.
I found all kinds of childrens and costumes for babies. My little son was so excited when I showed him all the choices there were for him to choose from. He must have changed his little mind a dozen times. He liked the pirates and all the super heroes. It was hard for him to pick only one costume. With so many costumes to choose from it was just a little too overwhelming for a six year old. We just let him go on and on choosing and changing his mind for a while. We just let him pick out as many costumes as he wanted. When we finally agreed on the baby costumes for the twins, we made things easier for our son to pick his. We did run into a little trouble when it came to choosing a baby costume for the twins.] My husband and I was having a bit of a problem agreeing on the baby costumes. I thought the baby bunting costumes were the best for them. But my husband had other baby costume ideas. So we had a little disagreement going on. He thought the buntings looked too much like newborn baby costumes.
So, we agreed that I would choose the babies costume for our little girl and he would handle our sons. Our baby boy became Woody from toy story, as my husbands choice. I picked out of the babies costumes an adorable little lady bug bunting costume, for our little girl. Our six year old finally decided on a spiderman costume this year. He really looked so cute in his little outfit. As soon as spiderman popped up in the costume selection, my son was done shopping. Spiderman is his favorite super hero. It’s his main cartoon show to watch. So, of course he’s thrilled to dress up like Spiderman.
Each one of our children had a halloween costume coming soon. I was anxious for delivery so I could see what the kids would looked like in them. I want lots of pictures of the kids in costumes this year.
We put in our order for halloween props and house decorations too. We really went all out on home decorations for halloween this time. We do like to decorate for halloween and this is a chance we couldn’t pass up. There were so many cool ideas for props, like a crawling hand, a hanging ghoul and more. The halloween party supplies were just as inexpensive as the costumes we ordered. That really made my husband a happy camper. He loves to decorate for the holidays. We ordered a pumpkin that blinks on and off and the twins can’t take their eyes off it. They are just fascinated with it.
Well, our halloween order was delivered. They were super accessories and costumes. They were very prompt with the delivery. The costumes made the kids look so adorable. Going online to find halloween costumes and decorations was the best idea we’ve ever had.
