A fun school Halloween party starts with interesting classroom decorations. The best classroom decoration ideas make big impact with little effort and expense.

Classic Table Decorations

A bright orange paper table cloth works nicely to cover the tables especially if you are serving food. The table cloth is much more sanitary than a bare tabletop, which has a lot of germs and bacteria. The solid paper table cloth gives children the option of drawing Halloween designs on it. To create a beautiful centerpiece you can simply use an arrangement of white, orange and black balloons. Put the balloons together and add Halloween images, candy or plastic spiders to fill out the centerpiece.

Ghosts Hanging From the Ceiling

No classroom Halloween party is complete without classroom decorations that hang from the ceiling. For a simple classroom decorating idea, begin with a white rectangular sheet of construction paper and tape 2 ends together to create a tube with a good size diameter. Once you have the body of the ghost done you can cut some streamers using either crepe paper or white plastic trash bags. Either one works fine so it is really up to you what you want to use. Connect the streamers to the bottom underside of the construction paper tube with tape or glue. Finish the ghost by drawing a scary or funny face on one side of the tube. Once they are all finished drawing faces and decorating the ghosts you can hang them from the ceiling all around the classroom.

The Haunted Corner

If you have enough classroom room, make a haunted corner for younger children to play in during the Halloween party.  The haunted corner doesn’t have to be anything fancy. You can create a pretty cool one just by hanging a black sheet or piece of fabric. When putting up the sheet make sure you leave at least a little opening so you can see what the children are doing and make sure they are not causing any trouble. A couple other ideas for your haunted corner are to create fake spider webs and hang them low enough so they brush the tops of the childrens’ heads as they walk in. Depending on how old your students are and how messy you think they will get you can also put a bowl of some jello with gummies and other edible things!

Halloween Activity Table

Set up tables with fun activity choices for your students. One fun craft students will enjoy is painting mini pumkins that they can take home. A stack of colorful foam sheets can be used to make Halloween decorations that can be used for many years. Have the children create a background for their decoration by cutting out a large oval or rectangular shape from one of the foam sheets. Then, give them some stencils of pumkins, goblins, bats, witches and other Halloween themed stencils letting them use their imaginations and creativity to create their own unique Halloween decoration.

Classroom Decorations You Can Eat

For a tasty classroom decorating idea, offer some cupcakes that students can decorate with tubes of colored icing and then eat! The spider pop is another edible activity. Have the children cover lollipop tops with squares of black tissue paper. Next, show them how to attach the tissue paper with 4 black pipe cleaners wrapped around once so that 4 legs stick out evenly on either side. They can then glue wiggle eyes in the center of the pipe cleaners to make eyes.

These fun classroom decorating ideas for a Halloween party require little more than the classroom craft supplies on hand. All you need is a little bit more food like a vegetable tray, some beverages, and several fun activities, and you are all set to have an awesome classroom Halloween party!

How one family loves halloween decorating. The different kinds of halloween decorating they see in their neighborhood. The amazing hoices of halloweenthings available.

Halloween is one of the favorite holidays of my family. I know a lot of people don’t enjoy it. but we get a big kick out of all of the activities involved in Halloween. We love dressing up in costumes. decorating the house in a spooky fashion. and just generally having fun together. Decorating the house is our favorite part. All of the funny. spooky things you can get to decorate your house with makes it a ball. Take spiders. Normally. I don’t like having spiders in my home. but when I decorate for Halloween. I want the biggest. scariest ones of all hanging around.

There are a lot of ways to decorate for Halloween. with some people concentrating on witches and monsters and others concentrating on graveyard sites and zombies. We like to take a ride around town and look at all of the great decorating ideas. We have seen desolate graveyards recreated in front yards. with scary sounds and fog creeping along the ground. Use your imagination and it is scarily real. especially since you can’t see the fog machines and the amplifying systems! I also like the houses that have gigantic spider webs strung across the porch. and flashing orange lights. Usually the houses that are the most decorated are the best ones to take the kids for trick or treats. These families really get into the “spirit” of things. so you can be sure they will have good treats.

There are some real diehards who decorate their houses inside and out in the Halloween theme. and even turn their homes into haunted houses. You can tell they must get a lot of enjoyment out of a project like that. because it sure is a lot of work. Most people just decorate to entertain their neighbors and for the trick or treating kids that stop by. It’s a shame that so many parents don’t let their children go trick or treating any more because of some of the dangers. Just a few crazy people spoiled a fun holiday for everyone.

If you are into Halloween decorating. you will not believe the amount of things you can buy today. If money were no object. you could really go wild. Party stores that sell monsters. fog machines. gravestones or just about anything else. And if that’s not enough. there is an even greater selection on the internet. New weird stuff. or the old classics that we know from our childhoods. If you can think it up. you can get it.

You do not have to be a good crafter to be able to make many great Halloween crafts that will make your holiday joyful. Halloween suggests pictures of spooky ghosts, black cats, dark witches, and flying bats.

You can recreate some of these images with fun and simple crafts.

The best part about making Halloween crafts is that the whole family can make them and it can give you some time to spend together. Lots of Halloween crafts can be done by almost any age child. For instance, your toddler can help out and learn new skills like cutting, drawing, and coloring.

Of course, you need some crafting supplies from the store. Here is the basic craft equipment needed:

* Several craft paintings: black, white, orange, etc. (pots and spraying cans)
* Gold and silver paint (spraying cans)
* Colored pipe cleaners
* Black, white, silver and gold markers

Obviously, most homes already have basic craft supplies like scissors, tape and glue.

So, let’s begin: it is going to be fun!

Spiders

To make these spiders, you need an egg carton.
Cut all the egg cups.
Paint them black.
Paint their eyes with white or orange paint.
Make four small holes on each side of the spiders.
Insert a black or colored pipe cleaner in each hole and stick or glue them to the spider.
Give the shape you want to the pipe cleaners

Pumpkin boxes

Find as many small pumpkin plastic containers as you want.
Fill them with candies.
Voila! Treats are ready to be given to kids who will ring on your bell on Halloween Eve.

Colored Pumpkins

Here is a very special idea that will allow you to renew your Halloween ornaments while saving a lot of money. You probably already have ceramic pumpkins. Rather buying new Halloween ornaments, paint your old ones according to your needs: gold or silver paint for a luxurious decoration, for example.

You may also want to paint them in black or white. With a black, white, silver or gold marker, draw some shapes on these new pumpkins such as black cat, white witch, black mansion…

Kids love bright colors so you can paint your pumpkins in several different bright colors such as orange, green, blue, red, yellow, etc. Draw Halloween figures on these pumpkins. For teenagers decoration, paint pumpkins with metallic colors, glow-in-the-dark, glitter, and so on.

Pumpkin Jar

If you already have one or more, fill a glass jar with small plastic or ceramic pumpkins; alternate pumpkins with maple berries and leaves.

Do-it-yourself Halloween Lights

Here is an almost free Halloween craft! Paint small jars in black, white and orange. Draw some Halloween shapes on them and insert a tea light candle in each jar. For instance, paint a white jar, draw Scream murderer’s eyes and mouth and voila, you have an original ghost light. Place the Halloween candles on a black tray, insert mini pumpkins, maple berries and leaves, etc.

If you have larger jars, you may paint them as well and pour in Christmas lights.

Halloween Candelabra

Paint candelabra with black paint.
Add orange candles.
Hang cobwebs on the candelabra for a spooky Halloween effect!

Halloween Centrepiece

You will need to use a bread basket in order to make this item.
Fill it with some maple leaves.
Add cobweb, mini pumpkins, spiders…
You may keep the basket for Thanksgiving: you will only have to replace cobweb and spiders by grapes and pine cones.

Halloween Tree

Put bare branches in a vase.
Paint small Christmas tree balls black, white, and orange.
Draw Halloween shapes on them.
Hang the balls on the branches.
You may also make your own Halloween tree ornaments such as ghosts, black cat, witches, and spiders cut out cardboard. Paint them and hang them on the tree.

Tip: make a uncommon Halloween garland with popcorn painted orange.

Witch Hat

If you still have a pointy black hat from last year, reuse it by sticking Halloween items such as fake hands, spiders, cobwebs or other spooky items and pin it to the front door.
