Organizing a Halloween party for kids can be both quite enjoyable and at the same time challenging. There are several things that you will need to plan ahead and a whole bunch of things that could possibly go wrong. Plus, you’re talking about planning a ghoulish Halloween party for kids whose attention span can be as short as a candle fuse. The party can easily go out of control with kids getting rowdy, trying to best one another with their costumes, treats, etc.

Although having some sort of control would be a great but also remember that this is a children’s party, an iron hand rule would be overdoing it. Now there are several ways to make your audience listen. One way would be to make them busy by having them participate in party games. There are quite a number of party games that you can organize that would certainly grab the attention of your kids.

If you’re familiar with the game called Mummy Wrap, you know the kids will be glad to participate with this one. As the name of the game implies, it involves wrapping someone with mummy wraps which in our case equates with a roll of toilet paper. The game is simple. You just need to group the kids into small groups and have them designate someone to wrap. At your cue, the wrap the “mummy” with toilet paper from head to feet. The group that were able to wrap fully their mummy the fastest would be the winner.

Several Halloween games I know are just variations of exiting party games. We have the Halloween musical chairs and the freeze dance. Both I’m certain you already know. It doesn’t hurt to be a little creative with your chairs. You can easily make the children feel it’s a Halloween game it you make the chairs ghoulish looking like maybe making them appear like tombstones or using darker colored chairs and adding some cobwebs.

And don’t forget the music. You can easily find Halloween music in the nearest record store or in the internet. For further enjoyment, you can ask the kids to dance in a “monstery” or ghoulish kind of way. You can even give a prize to the kid that will give the best monster dance.

Don’t forget to give prizes to your game winners. This will encourage them to participate ze to the kid that will give the best monster dance.

Don’t forget to give prizes to your game winners. This will encourage them to participate in the next games.

Another game which seems to popular is the building a scarecrow game. This involves having several groups of children make their won scarecrow using pillow cases, old clothes, newspapers, cardboards, tapes or adhesives, and markers. You will have to prepare some old clothes for this one. The children will definitely enjoy making something that often see in television and books.

You can also have a Halloween candy hunt which basically is a variation of the Easter egg hunt. By this time, we just hope that the kids haven’t discovered yet the candies you hid around the area.

Don’t forget to have a scary story telling time as well. Ask one of your guests or friends to tell a story to the kids at the party. Avoid making the story too scary though.

There are other ghoulish Halloween party games that can still do. Just remember that this is the children’s day and your objective is to have them enjoy the day.

Costume parties are traditional favorite theme parties, but Halloween tops the holiday costume party in popularity. You can pull out all the stops, being scary, funny or gruesome and disgusting, as you please. If you’re hosting a Halloween party with a sizable number of guests, you’ll surely want to tame that budget, using wholesale Halloween party supplies, as possible. Contrary to popular belief, you needn’t be a business to enjoy wholesale prices. This means your budget can accommodate a greater number of decorations and spooky additions to your table and home. With Halloween, effect is everything!

How do you get these deep discounts? Simple. You Google ‘wholesale Halloween party supplies‘ and follow any of the links to a range of choices beyond (hopefully!) your imagination. The only requirement for obtaining wholesale prices is that you buy in quantities. For example, if you buy a full box of plates, napkins or whatever, you can get anywhere from 50-70% off retail. This is worthwhile, because you can save any excess for next year, or donate some to a school or church function. If your guest list is large and you’re serving buffet style, you’ll probably use most of them. At least you won’t run out!

Another advantage to shopping the wholesale Halloween party supply shops is that these vendors usually stock the largest number and variety of appropriately spooky supplies.

For example, you’ll find everything in the way of props, from fake body parts to fog machines and way beyond to the scariest of torture devices! Sound effect tapes? You bet. Coffin props, evil masks, haunted house stage settings? Yes again. As for decorations, you’ll find eerie centerpieces and tableware, suitably ghoulish candles, party favors and Gothic decor items.

If your taste is not in the bloody-butcher-demon-zombie category, or if you’re hosting a kid’s party, you’ll find plenty of cute, funny or just a teeny bit scary Halloween decorations, as well as party games and Halloween T-shirts at the wholesale Halloween party supplies shop. You can also get inexpensive Halloween toys to use at a kid’s party as favors. You can also lace your trick or treater basket with small toys and a few plastic creepy crawlers. One stop-shopping.

There are also plenty of Halloween party suppliers who offer discounts on single quantity items when your order reaches a certain dollar amount.

Once you start looking at these Halloween accessories and props, it’s tempting to go all out. At wholesale prices, you can get a little looser with the budget and get items you can use for years to come.

All in all, shopping the wholesale Halloween party supply is the way to go for all of you Halloween enthusiasts. Boo!

Have you ever received an invitation to a Halloween party which gives you no guidance but to ‘come in costume’? You’ve been a witch, a ghost, a pirate and a scary ghoulish monster character. Now, what do you do for an encore, something that’s fresh and original? Sometimes your mind just draws a blank. Before you decide to pass on the invitation, read on. We’ve got several avenues of scariness, humor and role-playing ideas for Halloween costumes to get those imaginative sparks fired up in you. Let’s go.

The most successful ideas for Halloween costumes are ones that suit your personality. If you’re the guy who really gets a charge out of scaring the trick or treaters and your fellow party guests, then go in that direction. Think, spooky, scary and disgusting. The Grim Reaper trip. Put ‘Halloween’ in front of those adjectives and Google yourself to your corner of Halloween fright.

If you’re a woman and don’t go in for the above sentiments, but have always wanted to the the beautiful fairy tale Princess or Norman Queen, set Google to work in that search. Remember too, that Disney(TM) makes lots of their movie character costumes in adult sizes. If you enjoy the incognito effect, there are plenty of animal costumes with face masks that allow you to observe and have the guests guessing. Want to be a penguin? No problem. You can. (I almost hate to admit I did this as an adult, but it was a lot of fun!)

Are you a fan of the Matrix and Star Wars genres? Such fanciful ideas for Halloween costumes can make for original and creative costumes. You could certainly be the only R2-D2 at the party!

Now, about that Pirate. There’s a little Pirate in us all, that daring, bold and unconventional persona just waiting to come out. Other ideas for Halloween costumes along these lines include the nomadic Gypsy or the magnificent Flamenco dancer. Have you the courage to come as a belly dancer? Zorro is a fairly cavalier guy. Why not?

Are you the celebrity type? Hey, indulge yourself! If you’re short on time, a trip to the trendy clothing shops can produce a reasonable facsimile of your favorite celebrity. Wigs, makeup and costume jewelry do the rest. Besides, you can wear the costume as street wear later on down the road. That is, unless you want to be Elvis!

You can see that the key to fun and creative ideas for Halloween costumes is right in your head. It just needs a little development and a quick online shopping trip. Live your dream. Just don’t scare the kiddies too much!
