From Valentines to Christmas I love to celebrate them all. I always decorate my house and yard for each and every holiday. Since I don’t have children to buy for and celebrate with, I pour all my enthusiasm into decorating. This Halloween I plan on really doing it up good for the neighborhood kids. I wanted to pick up things for the yard and my house to create a spectacular halloween décor. I thought maybe I could get some new ideas for halloween décor online. I lucked out and found a halloween shopping site that carries decorations, creepy props and really super pets costumes. I fell in love with the giant spider they have there. Most of my porch would be covered with that thing. There were all kinds of nice halloween props too, like a crawling hand among others. I even found some scarry looking costumes that would be perfect for me. I’m sure the kids in the neighborhood would enjoy having me dress up for trick or treat night.

I’m ordering a pets costume for my little dog, since I don’t have children as of yet. It’s hard to believe they make such adorable little halloween pet costumes. One of my favorites is the cowboy outfit for dogs. There was also a cute prison dog costume. Where do they come up with such creative pet costume ideas? I know I definitely want to pick out a cute little halloween pet costume for Mikey. I thought about the pirate costume or maybe the biker dog outfit for him. But there are so many adorable halloween costumes for pets that it is not an easy decision. While I thought it over, I started picking out my decoration choices and a few props that I thought would be great for the porch and yard. The giant spider was a definite. I have a big enough front porch that I think it would work out great. I ordered window clings and a bloody cover for my front door. Next to my bowl of candy, I’m going to put a crawling hand right on the table, on the front porch. I’ve also added some tombstones for the yard that I ordered online. I already have a coffin with a skeleton inside from last year that I’m adding to the yard décor. I picked up some little things, like bats, spiders and stringy webs for the porch banister. I’m pretty sure I have all I need for the halloween decorations.

Mikeys little costume was next on my agenda. I decided on the little hat and tux for my little dog. This cute little costume has a bow tie and cape with it. This little costume will make him look even more precious than he already is. This online Halloween site has an awful lot of large and small pet costumes to choose from. You can dress your little dog in so many different costumes. I enjoyed just browsing through the collection and looking at the cute little pups in costume. As soon as Mikeys’ costume got here, I had to see how cute he would be in it. The tux and the cute little black hat looked adorable on him. When I tried my costume on, Mikey wasn’t too happy with the way I looked. As soon as he realized it was me in the costume he settled down.

Everything from the costumes to the decorations were perfectly fine. I couldn’t wait to get started putting everything up around the house and yard. I even found some cd’s with spooky music and sounds for halloween. For a really creepy halloween addition, I thought the cd’s would be perfect. There are a few of the older kids that are helping me with the decorations. This will be one of the best halloween nights I’ve had in a long time.

It is fun to dress up a child in a costume of their choice. The child should be dressed to suit the weather conditions at that place. The dress worn should not be too tight and not too loose so that they trip and fall. The veil or wings that are attached should be secure. The paints should suit their skin. It is good to have reflectors put on their dresses to identify them in the dark. This will be helpful on the road while they go trick- a-treat. It will be good to make them wear clothes made of flame resistant fabrics, so that they are safe near a candle or any other place with fire.

My wife and I own two dogs. They are considered a part of the family and we try to include them in many of our activities. This means that we have accumulated a great deal of dog stuff through the years. It is amazing the amount of advertising there is that gets directed towards dog owners and pet owners in general. The marketers know that people love their pets and are willing to spend a great deal of money on them. It seems that each holiday season there is more and more dog stuff in the stores.

This past holiday season I could not believe my eyes when I was in the accessory section of a national department store. At first I thought there was a new section of doll clothing that was placed in this section. Upon closer examination I realized that the clothes were for dogs. Along with the clothes there were beds, toys, designer dishes and other dog stuff. This is a store that does not ordinarily have a pet section. I asked one of the sales clerks when this section of dog stuff had been added. She stated that it was part of their holiday campaign nation wide. It seems that people were requesting more items that they could purchase, not only for their dog, but for the dogs of their friends. I jokingly asked if this did not snub cat owners, but I was told that the cat merchandize was on the opposite side of the display I was looking at.

The dog stuff included very elaborate outfits for the holidays. Velvet dresses, satin off the shoulder cocktail dresses, and the more traditional knit sweaters. There were also collars that were studded with sequins and stones. I could tell that the sales clerk was not thrilled with this new merchandize. I commented that our female dog would certainly prefer precious stones. When I said this she lead me over to the fine jewelry counter and showed me a display of precious and semi precious collars. I could not believe what I was seeing.

I knew that there were specialty stores and catalogs that handled this kind of dog stuff, but I never thought that it would be featured in a national department store. The clerk mentioned that they had a large display of Halloween costumes in the fall along with special treats for the four legged trick or treater’s.

I came home and told my wife about the display of dog stuff. She commented that we might be recipients of some of the items, because our family members and friends know that we pamper our dogs. I told her that if we did get something I hoped it would be the 14 carat gold collar with the pearl pendant.
