We have one little boy that’s six years old and an adorable set of twins, 10 months. We decided we wanted to dress the babies up for halloween, even though they are a bit young. We always take our son out on that holiday and then we visit our family so they can see him all dressed up. This year we have two more to deck out in halloween garb. The costume we bought our son last year seem to fall apart before we even covered the first street. First the sash on his ninja outfit tore off and then the pants ripped down the side. It cost us much more than it was worth. For the price we paid it should have at least lasted through one night. I figured this year we would skip the local costume stores and try finding something online.

I found all kinds of childrens and costumes for babies. My little son was so excited when I showed him all the choices there were for him to choose from. He must have changed his little mind a dozen times. He liked the pirates and all the super heroes. It was hard for him to pick only one costume. With so many costumes to choose from it was just a little too overwhelming for a six year old. We just let him go on and on choosing and changing his mind for a while. We just let him pick out as many costumes as he wanted. When we finally agreed on the baby costumes for the twins, we made things easier for our son to pick his. We did run into a little trouble when it came to choosing a baby costume for the twins.] My husband and I was having a bit of a problem agreeing on the baby costumes. I thought the baby bunting costumes were the best for them. But my husband had other baby costume ideas. So we had a little disagreement going on. He thought the buntings looked too much like newborn baby costumes.

So, we agreed that I would choose the babies costume for our little girl and he would handle our sons. Our baby boy became Woody from toy story, as my husbands choice. I picked out of the babies costumes an adorable little lady bug bunting costume, for our little girl. Our six year old finally decided on a spiderman costume this year. He really looked so cute in his little outfit. As soon as spiderman popped up in the costume selection, my son was done shopping. Spiderman is his favorite super hero. It’s his main cartoon show to watch. So, of course he’s thrilled to dress up like Spiderman.

Each one of our children had a halloween costume coming soon. I was anxious for delivery so I could see what the kids would looked like in them. I want lots of pictures of the kids in costumes this year.

We put in our order for halloween props and house decorations too. We really went all out on home decorations for halloween this time. We do like to decorate for halloween and this is a chance we couldn’t pass up. There were so many cool ideas for props, like a crawling hand, a hanging ghoul and more. The halloween party supplies were just as inexpensive as the costumes we ordered. That really made my husband a happy camper. He loves to decorate for the holidays. We ordered a pumpkin that blinks on and off and the twins can’t take their eyes off it. They are just fascinated with it.

Well, our halloween order was delivered. They were super accessories and costumes. They were very prompt with the delivery. The costumes made the kids look so adorable. Going online to find halloween costumes and decorations was the best idea we’ve ever had.

Halloween is a time when the infants can also have fun. It is really interesting dressing them up in different kinds of costumes. It is really cute to watch these children below two years and parents enjoy dressing them up.

It is really simple to dress the infants in costumes of animals and birds. They can be dressed up in baby bunting costumes. They can be dressed as a bunny, a lamb, a dragon, a monkey, a puppy or a duck. They can wear the costumes of brave lions, striped tigers, teddy bears, baby elephants, cuddly cats or dogs, birds with feathers, colorful peacocks, bumblebees etc. They can also be dressed as a caterpillar, a lobster or even a goldfish. Infants can also be dressed as a pizza slice, a banana, a football, a Hershey’s kiss or even a little devil. It is easy to make them wear a pant and shirt of the material and color that is suited to that particular animal or bird. Then accessories can be attached. Masks can be also given. Infants love to dress up in the clothes of animals which they can identify with.

Infants nowadays watch a lot of television. They can identify characters in the television shows. So, they can wear costumes that make them look like Superman, Batman and Spiderman. They can also be dressed up as Tom and Jerry, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse, Pokeman, Winnie the Pooh, etc.

They can also be made to look like fruits, vegetables and flowers. The right type of costume has to be chosen and they can identify with the dress. The infants can also wear the costume of Barbie doll or an angel. Girls would love to look like Barbie doll.

While dressing up infants in various costumes some safety measures should be followed. The infant has to wear the costume for quite some time. Care should be taken so that the costume chosen should be comfortable and not too tight. It should also not be too long such that it will make the infant trip and fall. It should not irritate the skin of the infant. The costume should also suit the weather conditions of the place. If it is too cold, the infant should have layers of clothing inside the dress. If it is a warm place, the costume itself should be of a light material.

The infant should be placed in an area where there are other infants. This will provide safety for the child. When it is dark, the infant should be easily seen and recognized. It will be good to stick a reflective tape to the costume so that it is easy to identify the infant in the Halloween party. The reflective tape can glitter and shine. It can be placed on the wings of a fairy or the hood of animals or on the back or the front of any dress.

There will be jack-o-lanterns at the Halloween party. Since the material chosen might not be fire resistant, the infant should be carefully looked after.

An infant might not be ready to wear a mask, since they will not be able to see properly through it for a long time. The best thing would be apply light make up. Any over-the-counter paint that is used on the face might be zinc or acrylic based. The paint might not be easily removable on face, hair and clothes. If make up is used, it should be tested for sensitivity. If a cold cream base is used, it will make the removal of make up easy.

Care should be taken to ensure the safety of the infant so that the whole family can enjoy the Halloween festive mood.

Halloween is soon approaching and you need a costume for your baby. It’s not like they can really trick or treat, so the biggest thing for the first year is how cute do they look. It is basically all for show. This can be a fun and exciting for you if you consider a few things first. It is easy to have the cutest costume in town, but will your baby be comfortable in it. How easy will it be for you to care for your baby while wearing her costume?

Tips to Consider When Picking Out Babies Costume
1. Is the fabric flame resistant? Halloween is a time of pumpkins and candles. It is important to have clothe that will not easily ignite. Flame-resistant costumes would be more safe for infants, toddlers and older children.

2. Costumes for babies and infants need to be made so it is easy to put on and take off. Here are some important things to consider when selecting a costume.

  • Diaper Changing – Infants diapers need to be changed often. Look for costumes that have easy access. Check to see if it opens at the bottom. It isn’t going to be convenient to take the whole costume off to change a diaper.
  • Neckline – Does it have a zipper or buttons. Your baby will be happier if you do not have to pull the costume over their heads when you have to put the costume on and off
  • Movement – Babies and children will want something that they can move easily in. If the costume is constricting, your child will not be happy.

3. Is the costume made for comfort?

  • Sensitivity – A lot of Halloween costumes are not make from high quality fabric. Make sure the clothe is soft and breaths. Babies and toddlers skin is sensitive and they can overheat quickly, so you will want to pay close attention to the fabric it is made of. Cotton is the best if you can find it.
  • Buttons, Zippers – When buying a costume for your baby, note the position of the buttons, snaps, zippers, Velcro and other accessories. Make sure they are not next to babies skin.

4. Are the accessories something that could harm your child? Check for things that could be a choking hazard. Look to make sure all decoration on the costume is attached securely.

5. Does the costume have trailing parts? Trailing parts can get caught up and cause strangulation in babies and toddlers, so be cautious when chosing childrens costumes.

6. Does it include a mask? A better alternative to mask for infant and babies would be to have their face painted. Childrens skin can be sensitive, so make sure to use hypo-allergenic products.

Halloween only comes once a year. Will you end the night early and dread next year? You and your child will enjoy every minute of it, if you stop to consider these things.
